If you want to be a grocer, or a general, or a politician, or a judge, you will invariably become it; that is your punishment. If you never know what you want to be, if you live what some might call the dynamic life but what I will call the artistic life, if each day you are unsure of who you are and what you know you will never become anything, and that is your reward.
Creating art work for me is a time to experiment, discover and play.
My inspiration comes from observations of everyday life. And sometimes I have no idea where my ideas come from. I enjoy picturing and creating something in my head and then making it come to life. Most times my aim is very clear and and then occasionally something will present itself through the process and set me off in another direction. This can be really liberating and exciting to just let go and see what happens.
Previously I was part of an Artist Co-op in Melbourne’s western suburbs before moving to Ballarat. I am now exploring and exhibiting within Central Victoria.
